Hi all new to the Xbox scene, was a pro owener before getting the X !

Does anyone happen to know if developers in the future can use or get close to the 12GB available on the machine as I understand the Dashboard is allocated 3 thus leaving the machine with only 8GB!

What I am wondering if developers will have the power to take more ram and turn off the dashboard or put it to sleep or make a 'light" version of the dash. My thinking is then Devs can push the 60FPS and 4K to more game, mainly third party?

Devs can only use 8 or 9GB of RAM, like you stated. The 3GB is always for the dashboard. But those 8/9GB is more than enough for devs to be pushing 4K60FPS on most games. It'll take some time understanding the hardware but once devs figure it out, they'll be able to achieve that benchmark more easily
